Vervocity took the new Quincy Public Schools website back to class in order to assure that it was visually appealing, polished, and professional for its visitors. We gave the site an updated design that is mobile friendly and rigorously tested it for functionality and speed. We were ultra-focused on ADA accessibility. This means the website provides full and equal accessibility, effective communication, and meaningful access to visitors. This compliance essentially made the website conformant with the WCAG 2.1 AA technical standards. Beyond this compliance, Vervocity made sure that we highlighted each of the new schools in the district and we showcased high-quality photography for each.
We understand that users of this new website are in a hurry. They want to see the school that applies to them, so we created the “select a school” functionality. This provides easy access for a parent or guardian to select their child’s specific school. Vervocity also made the website easy for the staff to update. We used consistent layouts and visual cues for functionality across the site. Staff permissions for updating the website allow selected staff members to update only certain parts. Finally, keeping things fresh required an investment in photography. Our images make an impactful first impression. We worked to ensure each of the schools recognizable and notable. Parents and guardians are sure they are in the right place.
